President's Welcome

Thank you for visiting the website of the Post Polio Awareness and Support Society of British Columbia – PPASS BC. Our Society was formed in 1986 by a group of dedicated individuals who recognized the importance of assuring those people who had survived polio and were now struggling with Post Polio Syndrome they were not alone.

PPASS BC provides our members with a bi-monthly newsletter and we trade it with Post Polio groups throughout the world. We have articles of interest, personal stories and perspectives on living with Post Polio Syndrome. We search for the latest information on devices and lifestyles that will increase our independence and quality of life.

PPASS BC speaks to schools and organizations and interested groups to provide education into the dynamics of polio and its aftermath – Post Polio Syndrome. We offer an opportunity for members and their supporters to interact with others who are dealing with the same problems. We hope you find our website useful. Please contact us for more information:
